MIAA - Marina Industries Association of Australia
A separately incorporated body, the MIAA works closely with the Australian Marine Industries Federation. The Marina Industries Association of Australia has a steadily growing membership derived from all states in Australia.
The membership comprises marina owners, operators, developers, consultants in development, engineering, management and the environment, government authorities and marina constructors, equipment and service providers.
The objectives of the Marina Industries Association of Australia are:
* Provide a national industry forum
* Develop and distribute industry information resources
* Provide a high level of education and training
* Encourage best practice environmental management
* Promulgate an industry Code of Ethics and Practice
* Develop standards of excellence in customer service
* Develop and maintain meaningful industry statistics
* Maintain a nationally unified approach with State and Federal government agencies
* Promote the marina industry in all facets
* Develop and maintain international links with similar organisations
