AIMEX is a non-profit, private sector organisation comprised of boat manufacturers, providers of marine goods and services to Australia's recreational and light commercial boating industry.

Key 'observer members' are from Austrade (Australian Trade Commission), DITR (Department of Industry, Tourism and Resources), and state and local government marine industry representatives. All members of AIMEX who are eligible should be members of their state BIA.
The MISSION and PURPOSE is to develop and promote Australia's international competitiveness in boating and marine products - thereby ensuring increases in export earnings for members.
The Primary focus is to develop an internationally recognised Brand Image for Australian boating and marine product and service exporters. AIMEX will promote the capabilities and expertise of its members and their products and services, into targeted markets worldwide.
