AMIF - Australian Marine Industries Federation
The Australian Marine Industries Federation (AMIF) is the body representing the Recreational and Light Commercial sector and associated Marine Industries.
It is responsible for the implementation of national initiatives, domestic and export marketing strategies and cooperative programs, where appropriate in concert with government, designed to generate strong economic growth as well as sustainable employment opportunities. The AMIF works to assist the industry become recognised as world leaders in design, manufacture and supply of safe/innovative products of assured quality.
Gordon Howlett elected as AMIF president

THE Australian Marine Industries Federation (AMIF) has elected Gordon Howlett as its new president.
Howlett takes over from long-serving president, Barry Jenkins who continues in an advisory role as immediate past president, and BIA SA president George Bolton has been elected AMIF vice president.
Gordon Howlett holds a Bachelor of Business Studies (Accounting) and has operated an accounting practice for over thirty years. Since 1994 he has run an international fishing tourism business in

Howlett said AMIF represented the Australian marine industry at a national and international level while working with the industry at large to develop a suitable national representative body for the long term.
